Four generations of ladies

Last weekend we went out to Iowa to see family.
AnnMarie's grandmother has Alzheimers and is in an
assisted care facility. She has been getting worse as
time goes on and we wanted to go visit while we can.
We planned the trip so we would be there the same time as AnnMarie's mom and dad. We were generously put up by her Aunt Julie and Uncle Clayton. It was a great hook up for us and so nice not to have to worry about a hotel room and being able to spend some time with family we rarely get to see.
Great Grandma has advanced Alzheimers and has trouble remembering people, knowing where she is, etc. When Maggie was put on her lap she perked up, had some few sentences and had such a radiant smile. The lady had 13 children and you could tell she still has the Gift of Mom.
Here are some pics from the wonderful weekend. We took a 4 generations picture. Maggie is lucky enough be the only person I know who has pictures with both great grandmothers.
